For our General group which includes Robin, Roslyn, Sp interns and other inters, we are using this app called "slack" to communicate!
Unlike everyone who simply uses Whatsapp, we tried out slack!

Slack brings all communication together in one place. It allows group conversations and private conversation by direct messages one to one.
It also allows file sharing such as simply dropping files, documents, PDFs, images, videos to share with everyone.

There are more things slack can do! Give slack a try to experience something new :)

Regards to event held on 27 June, I felt bad for not attending. I really hope to help out though, however it was due to my busy schedule as I'm currently taking a part time job. I really hope there will be more upcoming events for me to attend and help out!

Even though I'm unable to come down personally for the event, i never fail to advertise and share the event on fb!

I hope everyone who attended the event enjoyed their weekends! :D

25 June 2015

We headed to LHK building today to help out with preparing for this coming weekend's event.

Roseann and I were in charge of folding the boxes and pasting the sticker logo on the boxes! We were tasked to fold around 200 boxes!

While Ging Yang, Qi Wen and Zong Wei were tasked to place the items into the boxes

After we are all done, due to lack of display and decoration, Robin decided to fill the boxes with paperstipes, however the machine was spoilt so we had to shed the paper ourselves using a pair of siccsors!

Afterwards Robin was rushing for her meeting so we hurried to finish up as much as could and  left.

It was interesting in helping out with everything! Now I realized actually it's not easy to manage a company! They had to advertise on social media regularly, ensure there is enough manpower, manage the stocks etc ..

To be frank, great experience with MadeReal!

Sunday 28/6

Today was the second day of the event by Made Real. We arranged to meet at 9.30 at Dakota Mrt and proceed to the East Coast Park. Qi Wen, Zong Wei, Ging Yang and I went for the event today. We reached at about 10am there and waited for the event to start. We were there before the rest of the event organiser even arrived.

Before the workout led by Made Real start at 12pm, the four of us are tasked to walk around the park and promote the event that is happening later at 12pm. We carried the Made Real boxes and walked around and approached groups to inform them about the free workout they can just join. From the day one of the event pictures, it seems like there would be a large crowd doing the workout. However, after removing the partnerships members there, there is really very little people who went for the workout on their own. The workout is mainly to spread the brand awareness of Made Real and showing the fitness aspect of it.

After that, we had a small break and was asked to join the laser tag. And it is only then that I found out that some of the people that were with us just now were actually athlete that participated in the Sea Games and some won a gold medal. It seems that they are the athlete that Made Real sponsored their box to them. This help to generate more brand awareness as when the athlete get famous, the Made Real brand will also be reached out to more people.

For 27 June (Sat)

Today we go down to ECP and help Made Real to organise their event collaborated with the Shiok SG ...

Me and Roseann are the only people who went to help out in the event at ECP from 10am till 4pm.

Below are the photo of the event..

Made Real x ShiokSG event
Today, June 27, Robin and Roslyn wanted us to go to east coast park to help them with the event they were holding with shioksg. 3 of us were supposed to go today but in the end I was the only one that went. Although Ging Yang, who was supposed to go tomorrow, did rush down to help in the afternoon.

As the participation rate was less than expected today, I had to walk around with Roslyn to advertise for Made Real and their event, to encourage people to join the event. Me and Ging Yang also had to join some of the events as there were not enough people. I feel that today's event helped me to learn and prepare for our own event in SP. Things like, what to expect for our own event and what to do if there were not enough people willing to participate. Since I had to walk around with Roslyn carrying the Made Real box, I learnt how to present myself to advertise by watching her interact with the public/potential customers. When speaking to people, I noticed that she always redirected them to their social media page like Facebook and Instagram. This way even if people do not go for their event they would still be increasing the exposure for their social media accounts.

A photo of me and another intern with ShiokSG's founders
on Made Real's instagram page advertising for their event
I stayed from 10am to 4pm and I think today was good exposure prior to our SP event and it also gave me a chance to watch how Robin and Roslyn promoted their business to the all age groups of the public.
Me and Ging Yang after the event ended! (also SEA games athlete Melanie,
who came to promote the event, in the background!)

Ging Yang and me was having another Skype meeting at 3:15 pm after we have completed our DMB storyboard. This time, we discussed about the email to be sent to Han Jun, the crew management. We typed out the details of the event in the google docs and since Ging Yang has the contact number of Han Jun and sending him a message which is so long is quite inconvenient so I asked Ging Yang to ask Han Jun for his email address. In the google docs, we typed out the details and the things required from them.

From what I heard from Ging Yang, he said that Shellvia, the SDZ president, had told him that we have to at least give him some benefit for helping us out for the event which I have completely no idea what beneficial conditions we can give him. But after we have complete with the email that have to be sent to Han Jun, we moved on to SMM local company slide.

Because our lecturer, Ms Dora, had told us that our slides (overseas and local) must have the ”Most engaging content“ in their social media platform. The local company which chose at first is NomBox which we have done a complete slide for it already have to be deleted away as this company lack of brand awareness and have very little likes, comments and shares in their Facebook and other social platform. Ging Yang and me decide to change into Kawaii Box which sells Korean and Japan cute products to our doorstep. We deleted the Nom Box information and start to research on the Kawaii Box. I stopped doing the slides at around 5:45 pm as I have to rush to my CCA, Taekwando which is at 7 pm. I continued the slides after I reach home at 11 pm++, do some more research and typing until 1:50 am before going to sleep.

25June 2015 (Thursday morning)
Today in LHK Building, we helped the Made Real fold boxes for their Guava pass and Shiok event on this coming weekends from 10:30 to around 2pm. After putting our belongings down on the floor inside the office, we were separated into two groups to help them out. Ging Yang, Zong Wei and me helped with the packaging of the snack boxes that were for the Shiok event. Jun Hao also helped together with us.

After we have finished with the Shiok boxes, we went to ask Robin what can we help and we were assigned to fold the boxes for the Guava pass event. We were joking around celebrating to go home after the folding of the boxes but there was more packaging of Guava pass boxes after we finished with the folding.

Soon after, we joined Zheng Yi and Roseann to cut the magazines papers into strips as there is a lack of purple-coloured paper used as the base of the boxes and the shredder also needs a rest. We have to cut the magazines with a scissors and find out the most effective ways to cut the magazines. We have a little chit-chat with Jun Hao in the office which cutting the magazines. Robin said that she has to leave as she has a meeting in the city at 2:30pm and we started to clean up the office before leaving the office and head back home.

25 June 2015 (Thursday night)
Ging Yang and me chatted in skype to discuss a new schedule for the dancers which we chose an alternative dates since one of our events is in the HBL week. We have the dates to be at 15, 20, 24 July for our mini flash mob and 14 August for the road show. It was mid-night when we was discussing this through so we decide to send this email to Strictly Dance Zone (SDZ) that night and end the discussion here.

Today we have planned to meet in SP to do our incomplete assignment and I reached school at around 12 noon , Me, Zong Wei and Ging Yang went into the main library inside the drawing room to start doing SMM, DMB work which we managed to complete the local slide and combine it with the overseas slides. We also managed to do some amendments to our slides before Wei Jie came and joined us. Wei Jie did the editing part which he found some errors in our slides and help us changed it. Ging Yang and me decide to ask whether the dancers are free or not to meet us to discuss some issue and details for the 4 events that we are planning to hold in SP. Their president replied saying that she is free at around 7pm but I have to go home at around 5pm so I was not unable to join the meeting with the dancers.

At home, Ging Yang skype me at 7:30pm saying that the dancer president, Shellvia, is coming soon and that he was alone by himself. Because I was at home so I could not do anything much. I just hear their conversation and asked a few question to Shellvia. While Ging Yang was there, he let her to look through our proposal. Shellvia told him that maybe she is going to ask 40 dancers to participate in our event but applying for LOA is an issue. But after knowing that the event that we are holding is not SP main event so the dancers are unable to apply for LOA as result. Our group suggest to stick with 20 dancers for each event to make things simpler for the dancers which I don’t know whether it is effective or not. Shellvia also gave Ging Yang the contact info of Han Jun, the crew management, in order to borrow two speakers for our upcoming-event which we decide to discuss this another day.

After a long time of finding a Audio live streaming platform, I finally found one that is user-friendly and mobile-friendly. The platform is called Mixlr and it is a very simple yet powerful audio streaming platform. It have a chat room where the people that are listening to it, can comment and discuss among themselves. Also, to make it easier, it can be embed in Social Medias like Facebook and Twitter to let the audio stream from there. This is a lot easier for users to have access to the audio streaming.

At first, the plan was to use SoundCloud for the task. However, I could not understand or it may not have the function of live streaming. After like a 1 week playing around with SoundCloud, I gave up and went on to find other platforms. Youtube live streaming seems viable so I gave it a try. However, due to some problem with the account verification, I could not do it. Soon after, I found this platform from my friend which is called Sub Sonic. It is not really user-friendly and i was confused with how it works.

Then, I chanced upon Mixlr and finally works. I made an account and started testing it on computer and my own phone. Another good point to it is that, the user do not have to make an account on the phone app to listen to live stream. However, they are unable to chat in the chatroom.

Below is the snapshot of the Mixlr application. It have a clean and simple user-interface to it. And it support embedding really easily and if people wish to find the live stream via a link, all the functions are there on the top of the application.

Blog Entry #6

Saturday 27/6
There was an event held at East Coast Park by Made Real and we were told to go help out. However, in my opinion, the event does not really seem to be useful for us to learn. Anyway, I was leaving my house and was heading towards Dakota to meet with the rest. However, halfway through the journey, I got a phone call that told me that, my father had fainted while having check up at the hospital. So, I have no choice but to turn back and head towards Novena instead. This event is held for two days, so maybe I will go and help out for tomorrow's event instead.

Prior to this event, the previous meetings, I could not go as I already have event to go to. By skipping this again, it seems like the Made Real people are getting a negative image of me skipping all their meetings and event. Also because I did not went for the previous meeting where work on the Local and Oversea project have been done, I could only just build up on it instead of starting it.

Blog entry #16

For 25 June 2015 (Thursday)

Today in aljunied LHK Building ,we have helped the Made Real people to fold their boxes from 10.30am to 2.30pm and help them packed for their Saturday and Sunday event.

(Part 1)

At first, when we arrived at LHK Building, we went into the meeting room and put down our belongings and move to the packing room and receive orders from Robin and Roslyn, for my sub group, me, Qi Wen and Zong Wei, we helped to package the Made Real snack boxes that collaborated with shiok (we packaged 90 boxes). People helping in the room were Jun Hao, me , Qi Wen and Zong Wei.

At the same time, Zyi , Roseann and Teng Fon helped to shred the magazines into pieces by the shredder and cut and paste the stickers for the collaboration with Guava Pass.

(Part 2)

After the shiok boxes were packed. Three of us ( Qi Wen, Zong Wei and I) went into the meeting room and ask what can we help as we have packed finish the shiok boxes. Then Robin told us to help pack the guava pass box, we went back to the packing room and folded many many boxes (extra) and after that we were asked to shred the magazines by hand using the small scissors as the purple colour paper ran out.

After all, I think that we have learnt how to package Made Real Boxes, even though their boxes only have 5 items but the work to fold the boxes, work to cut and shred the purple colour paper , the work to shred the magazines by shredder or by hand, the package of items correctly into the Made Real boxes and the tying of the Made Real Boxes. The delivery process and the petrol oil used by the vehicle. All the processes above are important and fussy. Thus, making a Made Real Box isn't seems as easy as you look.

We also discussed on what are the final details to send to the dance group because since the dance group people cannot take LOA then Qi Wen and I (We) discussed about the timing and all to send to Shellvia (President of SDZ).

Today, June 25, me, Qi Wen, Zong Wei, Zyi and Ging Yang went to Made Real's office at Aljunied to help them prepare snackboxes for their event this Saturday and Sunday. We were there from 10.30am till 2pm to prepare the boxes.
Us in their office after packing all the boxes!
Me and Zyi folded and pasted the logos on the boxes and Zong Wei, Qi Wen and Ging Yang packed the items into the boxes.

The amount of boxes we folded and packed today!

We folded about 150 boxes today!

After packing the boxes, all of us had to cut up magazines into shreds to be used to fill the boxes. Today was interesting as I never knew how much work was put into making one box. We had to fold the box, stick the logo, shred the magazines to fill it and pack the items and everything was done by the interns and Robin and Roslyn by hand.

After leaving Made Real's office, Ging Yang informed us that the dance group had agreed to collaborate with us! Thanks to Ging Yang for settling things with the dance group! Now, we are working on how to synchronize our event timing with the dance group's timetable.

For 24 June 2015 (Wednesday)

People attended the meeting for the CPT, SMM and DMB project : Ging Yang, Wei Jie, Zong Wei and Qi Wen

Today is a long day, I reach SP around 11.45am , Me Qiwen and Zong Wei went into the main library drawing room and completed the local group slides and combined it with the overseas group slides and let Wei Jie see the final slides and adjust the slides if necessary, after that Wei Jie uploaded the Final combined slides into the google docs and let Roseann and Zyi to do the final see. They we are ready to send the SMM CA10 Slides to Ms Dora already.

People attended the meeting with the dance club: Ging Yang.

As for the dance group, I have a meeting with them from 7.20pm to 8pm on that night. It was after their training and they ask for two main things. Firstly, are they possible to appy LOA when they are helping us to dance. I have also asked Ms Dora on that day night and she said to me that it is not an SP event and thus cannot let the dancers apply LOA. Secondly, they want to know whether they need to wear any specific clothes by Made Real or they can just wear their CCA clothes. I have told them that they can wear their CCA clothes. Shellvia also gave me the contact info of the crew management team and I will contact Han Jun today to borrow the two speakers from him and will get the speakers ready for the 3 flash mobs.

Blog entry #9

On the June 22 meeting, other than the interns all sharing their progress on their individual projects with Robin and Roslyn, Robin and Roslyn also shared with us what they have been planning the past few weeks.

Made Real is collaborating with Shiok SG to hold a health and fitness event this Saturday and Sunday the 27th and 28th of June.
This is the poster for their event!
Robin and Roslyn told us that they wanted all the interns to go for the event to help out and gain exposure before our own event in SP in August. When we told them that we couldn't make it on Sunday as school reopened the next day, they suggested that we split ourselves into groups of 3 so one group would attend on Saturday and the other group on Sunday. Robin and Roslyn also wanted us to go to their office this Thursday to help them pack the boxes for the event.

Robin and Roslyn also invited us to sit in on their meeting with Shiok SG's co-founder and public relations manager at 7.30pm that day. Me, Zyi, Ging Yang, Zong Wei and Qi Wen agreed to sit in on the meeting. Hence we stayed at SMU labs after the morning meeting was over to wait for the next meeting. In the time between both meetings, me and Zyi managed to complete almost all of our slides for the overseas group. Zyi had already added in all the pictures of NatureBox and I added in the content analysis of all of Naturebox's social media platforms, the good and the bad parts of how they managed their social media accounts, Made Real's diagnostic screenshots and the suggestions for improvements.

At the 7.30pm meeting between Made Real and Shiok when we sat in, I felt that it was very informative. As they discussed the logistics for their event, it gave me some ideas on how to get the logistics for our own event. They also discussed how to market their event on their social media, Facebook and Instagram, which also gave me ideas on how we could promote our event. It was very interesting to see the way they attracted people to the event. As they had personal trainers for the event and the rates the trainers charged were $80 for a class, people who bought the $30 tickets for the event would gain $50 worth which would make buying the tickets worthwhile for them. This was interesting for me as I never thought of marketing the tickets that way. Made Real also had a problem with one of the event vendors not being able to show up but they fixed that problem easily and very quickly. This made me realize that when we hit hurdles such as the dance group not replying our emails when planning for our event, we should find a way around it, come up with another plan as quickly as possible and not think of giving up. This meeting also made me realize that our event is so much smaller compared to theirs, therefore if they can do it why can't we? I came out of the meeting more resolved to make sure our event succeeded.

Although we stayed at SMU labs from 10.30am to 9.00pm, when the meeting ended, and it was a very tiring day, I felt that it was also a very productive and informative day. I learnt a lot from sitting in at the 7.30pm meeting with Shiok SG. I also appreciate Robin and Roslyn letting us sit in on that meeting and helping us out with planning our event even though they are so busy with their
upcoming event.

This is us at 9pm after a whole day at SMU labs! Although we
were all very tired, it was worth it! All smiles now that we get to go home! :D

We had a meeting with Robin, Roslyn, Roslyn's sister and the other interns on June 22 at SMU labs. We were there at 10.30 am for the meeting and during the meeting we gave Robin and Roslyn a progress report on our event preparation. We had managed to create a Facebook event page for our event.
A screenshot of our event page!

Zyi designed the poster/flyer for the event which Robin agreed to let us print at Made Real's office in Aljunied.  ZongWei tried to contact the dance group and I created an event for people to RSVP for the Silent Disco Flash Mob.

On June 17, all 6 of us went to SMU labs to meet with Roslyn and Natalie to work on the cold-calling. During the meeting Roslyn further improved our script for the cold-calling and Zyi volunteered to cold call one of the media publications on the list. After this, our group discussed how we could stream the music and instructions for our silent flash mob on Spotify, Soundcloud or Youtube. Roslyn and Natalie also tried to help us search for ways and apps to do a livestream for the event.

Subsequently, we split up into the our overseas group, me , Zyi and Weijie and our local group, ZongWei, QiWen and GingYang, to do our presentation slides. Originally Weijie had selected Lootcrate as our overseas case study. However me and Zyi were not familiar with Lootcrate as it is a gaming subscription box. Hence afterwards,we changed it to NatureBox which is very similar to Made Real as it is also a healthy monthly food subscription box.

After the meeting, I also tried to do a trial livestream on YouTube. Unfortunately, I could only figure out how to do the video stream but not the audio stream with the music and the instructions.

On the 10th of June we went to SMU labs to meet with Teng Fon, another intern, and Natalie for them to give us their opinions on the cold-calling. Prior to this, we had been instructed by Robin to shortlist ten media publications that would be willing to feature Made Real for free. On the day of the meeting, Natalie and Teng Fon further shortlisted the list of media publications that Me, Qi Wen, Zyi, Ging Yang and Weijie had done. Below is a picture of the list of media publications that we compiled for Made Real.

As Zong Wei and Qi Wen had to leave the meeting earlier to go for cca camp, me, Zyi and Ging Yang stayed to do the cold-calling script for both email and phone.

At our weekly meetings with Made Real at their Aljunied office, not only do they teach us about how they utilize social media to market their company, Made Real has also been helping us to refine our event proposal.

As Made Real has another intern, Natalie, that studies marketing at a university in the US Robin and Roslyn have put her in charge of managing us. Natalie has helped us refine our proposal a lot, telling us what are the necessary information we have to put into our proposal and looking over our edits every week at our meetings. I appreciate Natalie's help a lot as she is a intern as well and has her own tasks to do yet she spends time to look over our event proposal and meets with us almost every week to discuss it. The same with Robin and Roslyn, although they are very very busy with Made Real they still make an effort to look at our proposal every few weeks during our meetings to check on our progress in planning the event and give us suggestions on how to improve it.

Initially we didn't have a wet weather plan or a logistic list in our proposal. However, after Natalie looked at our proposal she told us that we should have a detailed logistic list of where we would obtain the resources for the event from and also told us to draft a wet weather plan. In addition, Robin, Roslyn and Natalie have also given us tasks every week to keep us on track in planning the event. Tasks like contacting the dance group, designing an event flyer and creating a Facebook event page for our event in order to raise awareness of our event through social media.

We have been having weekly meetings with Made Real SG over the past 1 to 2 months. We have mostly been meeting at Made Real's Aljunied office. In this 1 to 2 months Made Real's co-founders, Robin and Roslyn, as well as their other interns have taught us a lot about not just marketing but what it takes to run an event.

One of the things that Robin, Roslyn and their intern Natalie has taught and helped us to improve upon is our social media calendar. We selected 3 days of the week in which we wanted to post content on, on Made Real's Instagram. From there, we came up with themes for each day such as Work-it Wednesday and Motivational Monday. However Natalie pointed out to us that although the idea of having a theme is good, we couldn't always do it as it would get repetitive and boring. Below is a screenshot of our social media calendar.

Below is a screenshot of the Instagram post that Roslyn posted on Made Real's Instagram page with the caption from our social media calendar.

22 June 2015(Monday night)

The day haven’t ended after I get home. I got a Skype call from Ging Yang saying that one of his seniors gave him the contact number to Shellvia, the admin/president of Strictly Dance Zone. We typed out the message and sent Shellvia inside the google docs, she replied him back shortly afterwards saying that she will tell the dancers about it and leaving their dance group email.

Looking at the email, both of us feel very familiar with it as Zong Wei has sent a message to this email through his computer in the mid-June but got no reply from them. We typed out the proposal in the google docs which we just have to find the dates, specific time for the events and some other details before Wei Jie joined the call and gave us some suggestions about the proposal.

We sent them the proposal which consist the details and dates whereas possible to meet up very soon after. We were freakingly exhausted from the meeting with Made Real and having to type out the proposal for the dancers that day. My brain cells were dying from these and we hang up the call after the things have been done for that day.

22 June 2015(Monday),

We usually have our meeting with Made Real every Monday during this June holiday and there is no exception for today just that location is moved to the SMU lab. Me, Ging Yang and Zong Wei went into the SMU lab first at around 10:30am before Roseann and Zheng Yi joined us shortly afterwards.

This is our first full meeting with Made Real people outside aljunied office in the SMU lab. The Made Real meeting includes Robin, Roslyn, Natalie, Teng Fon, Jun Hao, Mitch and Veronica. They discussed on the events all the way till school reopen or maybe more upcoming events. They told us that they needed as many people help as possible to help them with folding the box so maybe we can go to their aljunied office on Thursday if we are free.

So basically, this Thursday meeting is optional and if we were to go, we will just help them out and continue with our assignments afterwards. This Thursday folding of boxes was for their Vulcan post and Guava pass event which will be held in this coming weekends. We were told to split group for which team will be coming for either Saturday or Sunday to help out with their event.

This splitting of group is mainly due to our assignment due dates which is this Sunday and we have to try our best to complete it and submit it through blackboard but the Made Real group also needed our help for their event.

This week is a stressful week for most of us as there are too many assignments cramp up, a lot of things to be done and the following week school will reopen which is the end of our June holiday. Our group decide to stay all the way till night which is unexpected as Robin told us that there will be a meeting with the people from Shiok SG, hope that we can stay and maybe learn something from the meeting. We went out to settle our lunch before coming back into the lab and continue our work. Our sub-group for local did the editing of slides, adding images and putting in reference while the sub-group for overseas did their part in doing their slides too which surprisingly is a time consuming. We also discussed about the dance club matter as we had messaged them through Facebook but they haven’t seems to reply us yet.

There is a need to come up with an alternative way for the dance club matter and joked around saying that at most we go and dance instead or we have to looked for them when school reopen. Very soon, it is 7:30pm and we change location from the second floor to the third floor as there are people requesting that they are going to use the room that we are in previously.

We met up with the people from Shiok SG, Ging Yang and me continued on our slides while listening to them. Roseann and Zheng Yi seems to have completed their slides and are both paying attention to the conversation together with Zong Wei. In my opinion, it is quite a productive day as we did get something fully completed just that we haven’t merge the slides together yet. The meeting ended at around 8:30pm and everyone left for home.

19 June 2015(Friday),
Today, our group met up at outside Bishan MRT area to discuss about our assignment. Our main aim is to complete the DMB story board that day but we also managed to draft out some poster and do the local company power point slides.

Me, Ging Yang, Wei Jie and Zong Wei headed towards the Bishan library in search of seats available first while Roseann came afterwards to join us.

We discussed our story board planning in the children section as there wasn’t seats available for the whole lot of us in the Bishan library. Wei Jie said the most part of the story planning which our group had planned on the earlier days while I wrote it down in a foolscap paper. Roseann did the drawing on a A4 sized paper and me and Zong Wei helped out later when we shifted our location to KFC. The location shifting was due to the Liberians chasing us out of the children section and we were like homeless children trying to find seats which we found it in the KFC which we can do our assignments and have our lunch at the same time.

Ging Yang and Wei Jie did the poster for Made Real while Me, Roseann and Zong Wei do some of the story board’s drawing. After that, our sub-group did some of our local company slide show and the oversea company’s sub-group did theirs before we packed up and headed home.

Blog Entry #7

Hi Ms Dora,

22/06/15

Everyone attended the meeting except for WeiJie, we stayed at SMU labs since 10.30 in the morning all the way till night 9pm for our meeting / project work. We participated during the meeting at 7.30pm with MadeReal and Shiok! This 2 company is working together for upcoming events this coming weekend, thus we are there to participate and learn from the meeting.

It's a very tiring and super exhausted day for me as i stayed up the whole night the previous day to finish up CA2 slides for my group and also photoshop for our event flyer. The event flyer was suppose to be in charged by WeiJie, however after looking at the end product i was really disappointed so i decided to re-do it by myself. Well at least my hard work paid off as Robin did mentioned and pointed out that my design for the flyer is pretty good and we can use it for the event.

And for the CA2 slides for presentation i did a 42 slides slideshow so far by myself, with some help from roseann during the day of meeting.

After i reach home, looked through the blog entry everyone written, i was so annoyed with the previous blog entry WeiJie had posted. I felt it was really biased and such 1 sided story with what he had written. But being positive, i'm cool and not gonna bother, look into the problem and argue with what he've written about me. Maybe there's some misunderstanding between us but i think he shouldn't relate it to our work and go personal with me saying I DID NOTHING AT ALL for the group.

***This blog post is not personal attack to anyone, just trying my best explaining myself which i really don't hope there will be a second time.

Thank you for taking your time reading this blog post !

Blog entry #14

For 22&23/6/2015 (Mon + Tue)

I have asked my friend Joel from year 3 and he agreed to ask the previous dance club member Russell from SDZ SP then Russell send a sms to me yesterday night. He asked me more details on the flash mob and final roadshow and also asked why would our group need dance club people to help out. As he has graduated from SP so he gave me the handphone number of Shellvia, the current SDZ president. I have also contacted Shellvia through Whatsapp as it was late at night. She also gave me an email address where I can send the flash mob proposal for the dance club people to do.

Below is the conversation between me and Shellvia through whatsapp web.

Below is the screenshot of the email that I send to the SDZ email

Below is the screenshot of the proposal created for the dance group only...

For 22/6/2015 (Monday)

We spent the whole day in the SMU labs and completed our smm ca2 local and overseas slides and also meet up with the made real full team and discuss on the upcoming events of made real and Sp event. Made real have many events from today all the way to school reopen. We need to go down to the made real main office and help them fold boxes for their Vulcan post and Guava pass event on the upcoming weekends. The event is located at east coast park and the timing is from 10.30am to 3pm on both days. Because of our different projects we need to split up into two groups and each group will attend one day during the east coast park event. After the east coast park event. We will have our school reopen and will have even hectic schedule and the commencement of our Sp event shall happen as the first flash mob will be on 6th July 2015 , we still have yet the reply from the dance club so we are thinking to grab our classmates such as seven who knows how to dance. We have also sent the email and even Facebook message the dance club admins but they didn't have any reply. So we are thinking of alternative way in case the dance club people aren't able to help us for the flash mob. We will settle the logistics items when school reopen as because now is holiday we think that the person in charge may not be in Sp. So we think that as a group of 6, we will personally go and invite the dance club people and find the person in charge of the classroom equipment. This is the reflection of the whole day. We have the meeting from 10.30am until 12pm then we stay there all the way until 7.30pm for the meeting with made real external client from shiok SG and this is the sticker that I received from the shiok SG person in-charge.

Blog Entry #5

After seeing the numerous amount of post keep appearing, which i at first did not really know have to do during holiday. So, i guess i will just summarize what have happened so far. Basically, we have made a lot more improvement in terms of the proposal, the calendar plan  and the oversea project.
Regarding the oversea project, my group consist of Roseann, Zyi and me. I started the project with picking the company which is LootCrate. Although they do not sell fitness snacks, they have the same marketing plans as they also do a monthly box and changes theme monthly. So, i started on researching about their Facebook, Twitter, Intstagram. There were still Tumblr, Youtube, Reddit left and I asked Roseann and Zyi to help finish that up. During the meeting at the SMU lab on 17th, it was because of the cold calling stuff. And that meeting ended very fast ( which seems like a waste of time to travel there for 1 person to cold call) and Roslyn and one other member of the real team left. Then i proposed to stay to do work as the travelling time is already taken up and waste if we just went back. So, we started the oversea work. Roseann find out some more points while Zyi could not understand Reddit at all. And very shortly after again, Zyi have to leave. Leaving me and Roseann to do the work.
So, a few days later, we have a meeting just by ourselves and we organised it at Bishan which is closer for Zyi who is on the far end of our locations, unfortunately, Zyi is not able to come. And when we asked her on Whatsapp, she replied in a hostile manner. That is when I, on behalf of the team, came forward and asked her why she could not come. And she targeted me personally and a arguement started. 1 day later, I asked in the Whatsapp group about who have done anything for Oversea part and none replied. Even when i private message Zyi, she did not even want to read it. I feel this is extreme unprofessional. Even if there is arguement, there should be no relation to the work itself. So far, i think she have done nothing for the oversea project. If this keeps on going, I think the group will be badly affected.
Also, after seeing like 12 or 9 post for the blog, it seems quite large. However, the number of post should not affect the grading?
Other than that, I think that we, as a group, have overcome a lot of problems and the stress. Hopefully, we will do better for the next half of the semester.

Me and Roseann came out with a social media calendar for contents to be posted on Facebook. We planned to upload 5 posts per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We even came out with a caption such as "Work-It Wednesday" , "TGIF (Thank god it's Friday)" etc. The following is one of the post by us.

Also I have been constantly sharing Made Real's Post on my personal account

Even posted images to increase brand awareness

19/6/2015 (Friday)

That day, we decided to meet up at Bishan National Library so that we can try to finish up most of our projects as much as we can as we felt that meeting out would be more productive than at home with all the distractions around us.All of us were able to make it except for Zyi Li. We at first couldn't find a place to sit at the library, but we settled for the children's section at the basement. After awhile, we were chased out of the children's room as the librarian told us to leave the seats for the other children. After a little more walking around the library looking for a seat, we decided to leave and look some place else. We ended up at the KFC in Junction 8. We bought some food there for lunch and continued to work. We managed to complete the poster needed for the company and the story board for DMB.

10 June 2015(Wednesday)

That day we had a meeting with the company and we met up with 2 of our fellow interns that were not from SP. They were both professionals that really showed us what was to be expected of real interns as both of them were from University. After that day we started to feel the pressure and realized we had to step up our game. During the meeting they showed us how a business calendar was supposed to look like and made a few tweaks to our current calendar. However, me and Qi Wen were forced to leave early due to our CCA camp being on the same day as the meeting. When we went back home, we both read the Minutes that Ging Yang had made during the meeting so that we could catch up on what details we had missed during the meeting.

This week there was three meetings being held through skype. Two was with Ging Yang and the other one was with Ging Yang and Zong Wei. The first two meeting held with Ging Yang was in 13/6/15 and 15/6/15, Saturday and Monday respectively. Through these meeting, we did the final proposal details, discussing the things to do for the final proposal and doing some sort of Q&A.

We also discussed about the ten media publications and search for some of the media contact information. As for the meeting with Zong Wei and Ging Yang which was held in 16 June 2015 (Tuesday) when we discussed about the SMM assignment we had to do. Our sub group has to work on the local company which we came out with NOMBOX to be the topic that we will be discussing about. The Skype meeting was held quite alright but I feel that face-to-face meet will be much better as there is some technical error going on during the Skype meeting but overall I felt that the Skype meeting wasn’t too bad.
